An opportunity has arisen to join the Lottery Community funded Dove Uth Wing project working in the North Staffordshire area. This project works with C&YP aged 4+ and offers training, counselling, and peer support within community settings for C&YP, their families, and the professionals who support them.
The position will commence the week commencing the 1st April 2019 and will run until the 31st December 2020.
This role requires great flexibility, time management and communication skills. The successful applicant also requires self-motivation and the ability to manage their own workload. They must be able to provide educational workshops to young people and professionals, facilitate support groups for C&YP and their families, and provide one-to-one counselling as required.
Experience with presentation planning and professional delivery to audiences with a range of ages and abilities is preferred. This role will require networking with various schools, agencies and other support services surrounding young carers. Great importance will be placed on the monitoring and evaluation of all activity, and the role will require a commitment to evidence based practice.
