What is VAST?
VAST is a registered charity providing services and development support for the Voluntary and Community Sector and representing their views at a strategic level. Since 1920, VAST has provided a voice for Voluntary and Community Organisations (VCO’s) and community groups. This work is all the more important in a changing political and economic landscape.
Our key aim is to develop, advance and promote the professional development and wellbeing of local VCO’s. From our dedicated Board of Trustees to our front line team, we have the skills and experience to help VCO’s compete and prosper in the 21st Century marketplace.
We are based in Hanley’s Dudson Centre in Hope Street, the Centre is an invaluable resource for VCO’s, with facilities such as meeting and conference rooms for hire, cafe and pottery museum. So if you belong to a voluntary, community or faith group and would value some support for your organisation, VAST is a charity established to support groups such as yours.
