Equity Support Worker

At Disability Solutions West Midlands, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Equity Support Worker to join our award-winning team and help deliver our Life Without Limits project. The project supports young people with disabilities aged 16 to 25 across Stoke-on-Trent as they prepare for independent living.

What you’ll do
Working directly with young people aged 16 to 25, you will:
- deliver person-centred enablement support
- build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- carry out assessments and co-produced action planning
- provide one-to-one mentoring and practical guidance
- support informed decision-making and independence
- help deliver engaging workshops and group activities
- support moves from family homes or local authority care into independent living
Salary
£25,878 pro rata
Hours Per Week
22.5 hours per week

About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- has experience supporting, mentoring, advising or enabling young people with disabilities
- has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- can work creatively and independently
- shares our commitment to the Social Model of Disability
- is passionate about equality, inclusion and empowerment
Experience of delivering workshops or group sessions to young people would be an advantage.
